Friends of Hertingfordbury Cowper

The Christmas Card sales raised £295 for our depleted funds.

Thank you to all the children for the lovely artwork. Thank you to the school staff for assisting this fund raising activity and thank you to all the parents/carers who purchased the Christmas items. We hope that they were well received wherever they were sent.

A warm welcome to all parents, grandparents and carers, new and old, to a new Spring term.

We hope to start Friends activities as soon as circumstances allow. At the moment the situation is still unknown so we will wait on the school and health authorities to tell us when we can begin and with what.

Please look out for emails and letters to find out what is going on with the Friends.

Annual Statement

Thank you to all those who entered the Big PTA Summer Raffle. Unfortunately nobody from the Hertingfordbury community won any of the £5000 prizes. However, £228 was raised for our much needed funds.
Thank you to all of you who took part in the two Virtual discos which raised around £100 each. They seemed to be enjoyed by all. Many parents went on to arrange virtual discos as birthday parties.
The Christmas card sales went well and the online ordering made the process very simple. This raised £302.
These amounts are very low compared to previous years but given the circumstances better than nothing.

The future from September is still far from certain and it may be that we will still not be able to carry out our usual events next academic year.

Anyway I hope you all have a good summer break particularly the families of Year 6 pupils who will be moving on to the next stage of their education in September. Good luck to them.

Thank you for your past and continuing support.

While the school has been closed there was the opportunity to erect the Trim Trail. The Friends contributed £3000 towards this. Thank you to all the parents who have supported and helped at The Friends activities. Something tangible to show for your efforts.
