Just a gentle reminder regarding the rules for school P.E. kit;
For P.E. lessons children must wear their navy Hertingfordbury P.E. top, shorts and trainers. They should also have a plain navy/black tracksuit as part of their kit all year round. Please ensure that your child has their P.E. kit in school from Monday to Friday, regardless of when their P.E. lesson takes place. We also recommend that girls in particular keep a spare pair of socks in their PE bag in case they are wearing tights on the day they are doing PE.
As a school, we are also trying to bring an end to the wearing of plimsolls. When your child reaches year 1, we now ask that they have trainers as part of their school PE kit instead of plimsolls. The reason for this is we do not feel that they offer the grip or support to the foot that is needed compared to trainers.
Children will not be allowed wear their school jumpers or cardigans for P.E. lessons. No child who forgets their trainers will be able to take part in P.E lessons as school shoes do not provide the support or grip needed.
