All Key Stage 2 children, at present, have the opportunity to go on a residential trip each year. These trips give them the opportunity to develop self confidence and independence as well as working together with one another. They experience new challenges together and encourage one another.
Year 3 and Year 4 Brancaster and Burwell Trips
We stay alternately at these two centres and both offer different experiences. Brancaster is a National Trust Centre in north Norfolk on the coast. Here we study the local coastal environment and the surrounding area. We enjoy a coastal safari, a walk in the mudflats and a visit to the beautiful grounds of Holkham Hall along with eco studies and other interesting activities. At Burwell House in Cambridge we look at the historical documents relating to the Victorian family who would have lived there and enjoy the experience of a Victorian school, games and pastimes, searching for clues in the grounds and an 'upstairs downstairs' banquet! We also enjoy exploring the lovely grounds with environmental activities.
