At Hertingfordbury Cowper C of E (VA) Primary School, our science curriculum is rooted in the strong foundations of the national curriculum and the early years focus on understanding the world around us.

Our children grow in the knowledge that science is all around them and as they experience hands-on, practical science, through their own exploration, they develop the curiosity to engage and question, essential skills for rich and meaningful lifelong learning. Science is relevant and real to them.

Year on year, our children develop their science enquiry skills and flourishing knowledge alongside practical working scientifically skills. Their natural curiosity, enthusiasm, and passion to grow their own science capital equips them well for the future.
